Yup, I've been waiting for the proof Datuk Eric Majimbun been talking about on this Mykad scandal. What was it?

SABAH MYKAD SCANDAL:
Sepanggar MP finds Filipino illegal sharing his card's surname and address.

KOTA KINABALU:

The surname and address on his MyKad are the same as the ones belonging to Sepanggar member of parliament Datuk Eric Majimbun, but they are not related. Neither do they know each other.

The MyKad carries the name Jerome Majimbon and the address is Kampung Pomotodon, Jalan Kionsom, Inanam.
In Sabah, people are regarded as having the same surname despite a slight variation in spelling.
Majimbun said: “I was surprised because we don’t have a relative with such a name and the people in Kampung Pomotodon are unaware of the existence of such a person in the village.”
He found out that the man in question was a Filipino illegal immigrant whose real name is Jerom Maguil.
Majimbun wants answers from the Home Ministry and the National Registration Department (NRD) on how the man had obtained the MyKad bearing the number 560930-12-5739.
“I have written to the secretary-general of the Home Ministry but I have yet to receive a reply,” he said today. NST online 2008/10/04

Didn't he said that he will bare all of the evidences on this Mykad scandal? That's the proof? Honestly, I'm quit disappointed since I was hoping for more than that. Well, it's better than nothing I guess.

Now what does the Home Ministry and the National Registration Department have to say about this. Another mistake like the 'red Mykad' issue? I'll bet they'll make the same excuse, "It was mistake, we will see into it." Yeah right..!!

Evidence of illegal issuance of MyKad to foreigners will be released by the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) on Saturday.

The MP for Sepanggar, Datuk Eric Majimbun, said he would reveal the details that led to a population explosion in the state.
“Just imagine, our population increased by 285 per cent between 1970 and 2000,” he said. “I will bare all, including proof of people not born in Sabah becoming Malaysian citizens (in Sabah).”
Majimbun, who is also SAPP deputy president, was at the state government’s Hari Raya open house in Likas, hosted by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman on Wednesday.

Really? They have all the details? If they do, I hope those who were involved in this 'Projek I.C' scandal will be brought to justice and those who were issued with these 'Projek' Mykads will be sent back to where they supposed to be, their own home soil.

But, why wait until tomorrow (Saturday)? Why not reveal it today? Why am I smelling a bait for buy-out here? This date somehow similar to Anwar's date of toppling the government. Which remains as just a 'date'.

I really hope that this isn't just one of those politic talks with no actions. And no more mistake like the 'red Mykad' issues. The last thing we want is mistaking the locals for an illegal immigrants.

Either way, let us hope that our Datuk can walk the talk.
